Final Class
A group of us printed out our posters at A2 size and had a group critique. I was told to look at making my tag line 'words kill' larger and to look at increasing the overall size of the text and increase the gap between sentences. They also suggested that I look at making some of my words larger then other so its more dynamic and you have words jumping out at you.

Critique
Told that instead of the text being hand made that I should use the actual Facebook font. They said I should also use the colours of the glove etc. So I tried it out and Im impressed with it. I will develop it further.

Developing Final
I decided to go ahead with the thumbs up idea over the 'you don't know wow talking to your kids online'. I felt that I had more ideas and inspiration from the thumbs up idea. Right now I'm trying some hand drawn thumbs up that I am about to start making on either photoshop or illustrator more likely illustrator.

Interim Critique
I got good feedback from the group. They told me several things I could work on with a couple of my ideas and the other two they told me to scrap because they weren't as strong.
My two strongest were my thumbs down made out of text and my creepy paedaphile talking to your kids posters. I was told that to improve my thumbs down poster into something stronger to make it a thumbs up and make the text clearer, maybe not overlapping.

Debonos thinking hats
Today in class we discussed Debonos thinking hats which really helped. I was getting a bit of track and still not liking the work I had done.
They made me rethink about the use of symbology (or the symbology that society puts on certain images), what would be a persuasive argument and why and from there I think I can come up with some ideas that will be persuasive.

for or against social media
At the beginning of class today I still wasn't 100% sure if I wanted to be for or against social media and I tried out a few different thumbnails for each.
By the end of class I realised that I had a lot more and a lot stronger ideas for an anti social media poster.

Im wanting to check out the link that the people who made this left in the comment
section. It could be quite interesting.
YOUTUBERS REACT TO LOOK UP
I find that reactions to this video from outside sources are good to have.

Chosen Topic
I have decided to do social media as me social issue. However at this point Im still not 100% sure if I want to be for or against it. At the moment Im leaning towards for social media because in the debate I thought we came up with some good points.

The Debate
Today we broke up into three groups (superstores, social media and voting). Within these groups we were split into two, for and against. I was for social media.
The three points we decided to use for our debate were :
-communication with people overseas, so soldiers, exchange students etc. talking to their families.
-platform for creative space, so you can share your work with a larger audience.
-raise money and awareness for charities etc.
We were told before the debate to deliver our points clearly and confidently and to be relatable. Social media was first up and we ended up drawing. With one half being more relatable and the other half having stronger "factual" points.
